Welcome to HHDR Boarding! A dog rescue might be the last place you would think of to board your dog, but as we received more and more calls from people trying desperately to find a place for their dog to stay while they traveled for business, pleasure or family emergencies, it became clear this service was needed and, well – why not?
From the time your dog checks in as our guest to the moment you pick him up, he will be treated like family, loved like one of our own. Room service and housekeeping are ongoing throughout the day. Linens, walls and floors are kept clean and disinfected. We understand poop happens and accidents are cleaned immediately. Bowls are washed twice daily, and water is kept fresh. Our kennels are designed as a gated community – a home away from home and are kept at a comfortable temperature - heated in the winter, A/C in the summer. Radiant heat runs through the kennel floors and raised beds are available for those that prefer to be up off the ground.
During their stay, your dog will enjoy plenty of walks, love and attention. If they are social, they can join other dogs in playtime in our indoor room or one of our secure outdoor play yards. Grooming and training services are also available during your dog’s stay. Just ask at the time of booking or at check-in and we will be happy to give your dog a spa day or work on behaviors you would like improved.

At Helping Hounds your dog’s health, safety, and happiness are our top priority.
During your dog’s stay with us they will:
Go for several walks per day
Socialize and play with other dogs
Run and play in our outdoor yards or indoor play room
Get one-on-one affection from staff and volunteers
Spend time with staff in the office or at the front desk
Splash in our pools in summer months
Email photos and videos to you
Accommodations include:
Clean and spacious kennels
Raised beds in warmer weather
Heated floors in cooler weather
Fresh bedding changed throughout the day
Grooming is available for an additional fee
Training is available for an additional fee
Rates
$50 per night. Additional dogs are $25 per night if the dogs can be kenneled together.
$25 if you would like your dog to have a bath before pickup
$15 to have your dogs nails trimmed during their stay
All dog must have current rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccinations to be eligible for boarding.
